This past October, I had the opportunity to shoot Desert Daze for Melted Magazine. We decided to make a trip out of it and here are some photos on the side of the festival I dug up- 35mm I haven't shared. Plus, a short instax series on all of the Days Inn motels we stayed at. I'll never stop photographing motels and hotels. I'll also never stop traveling. I'm super excited for 2018.
Thanks for always looking at things I make. <3
with NoNo
Finally sharing photos from my morning shoot with NoNo in August. And yes, just call her that.
Not only do I absolutely love photographing people in their personal spaces/homes, I love photographing a way of living with their music and idols. I need to do it. It's a part of my making work, because I've never related more than to those people. Peep inside NoNo's room for great passion for all things music and a sweet way of living in and with her inspirations.
I'm so glad she asked me to do this because it's right up my alley and she is the best to work and hang out with. I had such a time talking about our favorite no wave bands, learning about her obsessions and stories behind her treasures.
LIVE: Trashlight at SEAUX LA's Halloween show
If you're dying to catch a band around town that's not quite like the others... catch a Trashlight show. If you're into noisey pedals, 80s goth soundscapes, darkwave... or anything along those lines... you're in for a unique treat from these pixies.
Finally made it out to photograph the band this past Friday at Atomic for Seaux LA's Costumes and Tunes party.
