I recently shot promo + portraits for new Baton Rouge band, Dinosaur Girl! I am so happy Elise reached out to me and asked me to do this. I was able to test out my new Yashica T4 for a portrait session and ok… I love the camera so far. I’ve only had it for a few weeks of shooting, so I am excited to get to know it a little more, but so far so amazing.
Because the band wanted a simple backdrop, I decided last minute to have them meet me at a local Climate Control I rent from. I love the way this location turned out for them. I had a few frames left on a roll of 35mm color film, so I decided to play with these LED panels that I am currently borrowing from a friend. I’m glad I took advantage of those last few frames because the color photos just might be my favorite! Something about them being a shoegaze band made me want to mix colors and bathe them in red light. The rest of the shoot was taken on expired 35mm black and white Ilford HP5. Check out some of the photos from the shoot below.
Thanks, Dinosaur Girl, for trusting film! <3
